Adjusting to the new normal has been challenging for all of us, both as employees or employers, there has been a great deal of uncertainty over the last 9 months. However, one of the byproducts of the current situation is the amount of people that have devoted their time to either learning a new skill or making a change to their professional life.
Whether you are an employee or an employer, investing in yourself is crucial to helping you develop the skills you need in order to succeed. Lots of people have taken advantage of brushing up on their continuous professional development by attending online courses, workshops and webinars.
There are a number of great e-learning resources online that allow you to acquire skills in every area of business, from digital marketing right the way through to business development. With most people working from home for some period of time over the last 9 months, there has never actually been a better opportunity to invest in yourself.
Now, this week's blog is not focused on specific courses or resources you can access externally to build new transferable skills, rather we wanted to communicate a new initiative we have rolled out for our audience, in particular, you!
Through the years, as a company, we have been very fortunate to develop a great blend of skills in all areas of business. This has principally been through the team we have created but also the range of activities that we undertake on a daily basis.
With that being said, we want to give something back to our audience, our community, who constantly engage with us. Therefore, we have embarked on rolling out the “iOB Business Webinar Series” that we hope will inspire you to build the skills you need to exceed your income goals.
We understand that when it comes to webinars, lots of people are sceptical in the sense that they believe it is usually a 60 minute sales presentation. However, we want to do something different by focusing on delivering tangible value that helps educate you on a range of business related topics.
To help you understand the focus for our new webinar series, we’ve highlighted some of the key questions you may be thinking.
Who are the webinars aimed at?
As mentioned above, our webinars are all inclusive and we strongly feel that regardless of where you are in your professional journey, you can pick up vital insights into starting or improving your own business or role.
We are taking quite a broad approach when it comes to the information we will cover during each webinar in order to make sure everyone can learn together. The great thing about live webinars is the speed at which we can help lots of people and it also creates a platform to answer the questions that matter most to you.
Some of the topics we have already covered include "Why businesses need a digital presence" as well as "What it takes to become a business owner in 2021". We have lots of exciting content planned for these sessions so stay tuned.
What will I learn?
Building upon what we’ve mentioned above, the topics for the webinar are all centred around providing valuable business knowledge for free. We recognise that starting to consider a new business requires a great deal of thought and research, our webinar series aims to highlight some of the fundamental aspects you should consider.
The goal of our regular webinars is to help provide actionable information that you can use to improve your skills or assess a new venture that you may be interested in pursuing. One thing we are very mindful of is ensuring that our webinars are packed with information and insights from our experienced team.
When are they scheduled?
In our opinion, webinars are most useful when they are hosted regularly and build upon previous sessions. Therefore, we are hosting our webinars every 2 weeks on a Wednesday at 2 PM UK time.
If you can’t attend live and we understand that everyone has different priorities, you can check out the recording in your inbox as well as on our Webinars page and our dedicated YouTube channel.
Who are the hosts?
The webinars will be hosted by a member of our team as well as our resident business coach, Ben Porter-Smith. Ben has a number of years experience in coaching small business owners and brings his unique skills to helping you.
You can find out more about Ben by watching his video introduction here:
We feel adding Ben to our webinar series will provide tangible value as he can relate to the challenges facing business owners as well as the right steps to succeed.
